Terms of Service

Last updated:
In short: Precedent is a market-analysis tool. It shows how the historical London sessions that most resemble today went on to close. It is not financial advice, it doesn't hold your money, and it doesn't place trades. Subscriptions renew until you cancel, and you can cancel any time in one click.

1. Who we are

Precedent is provided by , a company registered in England and Wales (company number ), registered office ("we", "us"). You can contact us at . By creating an account or buying a plan you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refund & Cancellation Policy and our Risk Disclosure.

2. What Precedent is — and isn't

3. Your account

4. Plans, prices and billing

5. Your right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel a contract for digital content. Precedent Pro is supplied immediately after payment. At checkout we ask you to request immediate access and to acknowledge that, as a result, you lose the 14-day cancellation right once access begins. This doesn't affect our first-subscription guarantee or your statutory rights if the service is faulty.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: share, resell or publicly redistribute Precedent's data, alerts, signals or screens; access Precedent with bots, scrapers or automated tools (other than the alert channels we provide); try to bypass paywalls, limits or security; reverse-engineer the service; or use it unlawfully or to harm others. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

7. Market data and alerts

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Precedent available but can't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may improve or change features. If we make a change that significantly reduces what you've paid for, you can cancel and we'll refund any unused prepaid period.

9. Intellectual property

Precedent, its software, design and content belong to us or our licensors. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use it for your own purposes while your access is active.

10. Our liability to you

11. Suspension and ending

You can stop using Precedent and delete your account at any time (Account → Delete account); deleting your account cancels any active subscription. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, and if we close your account without you being at fault we'll refund any unused prepaid period.

12. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. Please contact us first at — most problems are sorted quickly.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll show the date of the latest version at the top and, for material changes, tell you by email or in the app before they apply to you.
